Internet Explorer 8 coming out today
The final version of Internet Explorer 8 should be coming out today around noon Eastern time (1600 GMT) after several public—or more or less public—betas and RCs.
I’ll let you visit their website to get an idea of what’s new (quick: better support for standards, lighter, faster, Web Slices, Accelerators, …).
IE8 will be available for:
- Windows XP (32 and 64-bits)
- Windows Vista (32 and 64-bits)
- Windows Server 2003 (32 and 64-bits)
- Windows Server 2008 (32 and 64-bits)
- Windows 7 (natively)
I will be changing those into links to the downloads once I’m sure of what they’ll be.
I’m a “Chrome person” these days, but I think I might give IE8 a chance for a few days. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Update: Links updated and localized!
